Where We Want to Be

Port Tenants Association has worked with environmental groups to secure passage of legislation funding a non-toxic boat bottom paint project, helped sponsor legislation on to create a San Diego Bay Advisory committee, undertaken (in partnership with the Port District) a complete revamping of the Port’s Leasing Policy, been actively involved in redevelopment plans for the city’s historic North Embarcadero.

We are represented on several port District Committees, including Real Estate Advisory, Cruise Ship Advisory, Public Art, Urban Forestry, and Marketing.

In 2003 and 2004 paid particular attention to Maritime Trade matters and issues affecting our industrial tenants. Our membership is kept abreast of these matters through newsletters, outreach programs and workshops.

If your company is on Tidelands or does business with the Port or its Tenants, the San Diego Port Tenants Association can be of help to you. Call for more information and an invitation to our next Membership Mixer.

As another year of exciting challenges continues to unfold, the SDPTA remains focused on protecting the interests of its members, while fulfilling it’s motto of: “Advancing trade, commerce and tourism while protecting the environment.”
